Digital Pattern Surfaces

Continuing with my textural surfaces theme, these digital patterns have been created from natural and constructed textural surfaces.

Digital Print on Lutradur

This weeks textural surface is created with a digital print on a light weight lutradur.  The print is then heat distressed, torn, layered and assembled with beads.  The individual pieces are woven into crochet hemp and brass wire is wound around some pieces of the hemp.

Textural Surfaces Finished

The finish of a textural piece show here is created with crocheted hemp, brass wire and twigs assembled to a digital print on finely woven mesh mounted on hardware cloth. The composition of this piece changed from earlier in the week with a base of printed wire mesh added and some other planned elements not used.
